Tell me your story so we may work together to influence its direction. But before you decide to book a free 15 minute consultation, please review the breadth of my training and experience.
Possessing over five years' of clinical experience with national organisations, including the NHS, and private practice, I work with individuals and couples experiencing a range of issues and 'disorders' - please see 'specialist areas' for details.
I am a philosophically pluralistic, and integrative psychologist who holds memberships with, and is guided by the ethics of the BPS (British Psychological Society), and SEA (Society for Existential Analysis). I have an accredited Psychology degree, Counselling Psychology PGc, PGDip in Psychological Counselling, and am in the process of obtaining my doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I am also Clinical Director of my own private practice, based in Central Birmingham (please google 'Phinity Therapy reviews' to see some of my reviews). As you might have realised, I am incredibly passionate about continual development, keeping in touch with the latest research and ideas so I can do my best to help you develop in ways that best serve you.
I respect diversity, having worked with individuals of varying backgrounds, ages, cultures, and complexity. My approach is individualised to you, which means I aim to understand what you need so I can offer a tailored treatment plan with your goal(s) in mind. This may require integrating some of the different therapies I am trained in, including cognitive behavioural therapy (a solution focussed therapy which offers strategies), person/client centred therapy (an experiential approach focussed on the here and now), psychodynamic (an exploratory approach which unpacks past experiences to offer deeper understanding of the self in the present), and existential (elicits understanding around choice, freedom and how the meaning we make influences experience of our world).
I currently offer early morning, evening, and weekend remote sessions for your convenience (either online video/phone/email/chat), and will be offering the in-person option in the coming months.
With the depth of my training and experience you can be assured I will competently guide you toward your desired outcome. Call me now for a free 15 minute consultation with no obligation to continue. If you decide you would like to work together, sessions are usually on a weekly basis and last 50 minutes.
No subscription fees, protection against cancellations and no-shows, and more visibility on Google and Social Media are just a few of the reasons you should join us at Therapy Guide.
